A totally and correctly restored World War II 1944 Ford model GPW. GPW stands for: Government, 80 inch wheel base and Willys engine design. It was manufactured by FORD in Louisville, KY, July 5, 1944. Some people call it a "jeep" but that is technically incorrect and was only a name that developed during WW2 as a nickname. JEEP became a trade name after the war.
It has a 60 HP four cylinder engine and a three speed stick transmission. It currently lives in Victor, NY and is driven for car shows and military events. It was totally restored by Richard Senges 2009 to 2020.
